Cinsault: planted in 2016
Family favorite: ALL
Every bottle tells a story, and this one is especially close to our hearts.
Crafted from our Cinsault block planted in 2016, this vibrant rosé is named in honor of Pat "Poppy" Hoonan, the best girl dad, grandpa, legendary football coach, and Hall of Fame athletic director we were lucky enough to call our “Poppy”.
For more than 40 years, Poppy dedicated his life to youth athletics. During retirement, he rarely missed a game, recital, concert, or event involving one of his grandchildren. While his accomplishments on the field were remarkable, those who knew him best remember something even greater: his gift for making everyone feel like they were his favorite.
The artwork on this label was created by his granddaughter, Jayden Henry as her final project for her Art Education Degree from the University of Idaho. Each member of the family has their own impression of this print, making this wine a true family collaboration.
In honor of Poppy's lifelong commitment to students and athletics, 10% of every bottle sold is donated to the Washington Secondary School Athletic Administrators Association (WSSAAA). As a member of the WSSAAA Hall of Fame, Pat's legacy continues through scholarships that recognize the academic achievement, leadership, sportsmanship, and character of high school student-athletes across Washington.
Here's to family, community, and leaving every person a little better than you found them.
